Longitudinal Dynamics Simulation Tool for Hybrid APU and Full Electric Vehicle

Due to problems related environmental pollution and fossil fuels consumption that have not infinite availability, the automotive sector is increasingly moving towards electric powertrains. The most limiting aspect of this category vehicles certainly battery pack, regarding difficulty in obtaining high range with good performance low weights. aim work provide a simulation tool, which allows for analysis different types hybrid powertrains, concerning both mechanical electrical aspects. Through model it possible test vehicle configurations before prototype realization or investigate impact subsystems’ modifications may on under development. This will allow speed-up model-based design process typical fully vehicles. aims be at same time complete but simple enough lower computational burden so can used real-time applications, such as driving simulators. All reduces costs design. Validation also provided, based real comparison another consolidated tool. Maximum error quantities proved within 5% while always than 10%.
